The hairy frog, also known as the horror frog or the Wolverine frog, is a species of frog from Central Africa whose name refers to the hairlike projections on the body and thighs found on male members of the species. When grabbed or attacked, the horror frog breaks the bones in its fingers, which forced the sharp bones through its skin and stab the animal or person that is holding it.
