'Tree of life' for 2.3 million species released
Scientists have released a new version of the tree of life, showing everything we know about how the living things of Earth are related to one another. With 2.3 million species and counting, it's the most complete model of its kind — but there's a lot more work to do.
Like evolution itself, this diagram will continue to evolve as scientists fill in gaps and uncover more detailed information on the genetic relationships of Earth’s various species.Article:https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/speaking-of-science/wp/2015/09/21/this-new-complete-tree-of-life-shows-how-2-3-million-species-are-related/
