Lane Daniels is a cowboy, in a town rapidly
growing into a city. Housing developments are replacing farmland and ranches at
a rapid pace, erasing the fertile ground between city and country. It creates
in Lane a need for freedom and he's willing to trade a lot of hard work to get
it.

The author T.L Davis has a fantastic author voice! (as a reader I think that the most important thing in any story is the author voice.) His writing will draw you into the story page by page, and It’s almost like an addiction of wanting more. His story telling is very interesting, gripping and an easy read.
Lane Davis is a very intelligent young man
with common sense…something that can also be described as a curse because so
very few people possess that specific skill. He understands the educational
system for what it really is and he doesn’t like it because he wants to be able
to make his own decisions and control his own destiny. Like most young people
he gets himself in trouble and he does his best to learn from it. He
understands that family values and traditions is very important and at the same
time he wants to leave his “nest” and get out on the road and to live his life
as he wants to live it.
This story coming of age is a search for
true freedom, and at the same time it’s very realistic when facing challenges
and values in life. I do hope that it will have a sequel because the adventure
has just begun.
I strongly recommend this book and it can
be read by anyone.
